My Week in Photo's
My brother was here for a 4 day visit. We do not get to see each other as often as either of us would like. He tried his best to make peace with Kira during this visit - she has a deep mistrust of him and the loud noises he makes! I had intended to take pictures at my dear friends Oscar party for this heading but...there just wasn't enough time with all of the eating, gossiping and chatter.
Monday - Random Stranger
I nearly forgot this one! I was in Vancouver (I stayed over with my family after the Oscars) and my cousin and I were on our way for Viet Namese food. I was trying various pics through my car window, as I was driving. This one worked out well, as the gentleman waiting for his bus was backlit by the blazing lights in the gallery behind him.
I'm at work, wearing my slippers. They can be quite a topic of conversation - especially when we read Goodnight Gorilla.
Wednesday - My Lunch
Mmmm. A new discovery. Instant Thai Hot & Sour Soup. Really quite good for instant soup. Not pictured: A blood orange and my dessert - Cinammon Dolce Latte!
Thursday - The Sky
For this late in the year we woke up to snow 3 mornings in a row this week - but no accumlation to speak of. There were a lot of low lying clouds while it snowed on the mountains around us - as seen from our backyard.
This felt the most difficult part of the assignment - I think this is one of 8 tries!
This one is a bit of a fudge. I didn't leave the house this whole weekend. I do this about once every month and a half. I stay in my jammies and knit, read, surf, blog and bake to my heart's content. It is quite therapeutic. So this is a pic of the last thing I saw as I got into bed. The top quilt is an heirloom made by my Nana from scraps. I have had it since I can remember. It is the warmest thing as it is filled with heavy sheets and not batting. My Nana was famous for using things at hand and not following any proscribed order in her crafting. Sometimes the result was beautiful - such as this treasured quilt.
Thank you Dawbis for hosting this fun photo project!

Haha, your cat looks so sleepy on the picture! Its great! And I also really like the view out of your backyard. I wish I would have so much nature around my place. Great!
i agree, wish i could have the view from your backyard! i live in a city so it's full of buildings and always noisy..
Loved this project! It's been a great way to see the world through other people's eyes and to find new blogs to read! I loved your quilt cover and your cat!!

I like this meme. It's a different take on the rest of the ones going around.
I love your quilt and how your Nana stuffed it. That would keep it lasting forever without lumpy bumpy corners and random shifting thin spots normal bedspreads get.
That is a beautiful quilt! For my 16th birthday, my grandmother put together a crazy quilt, made from scraps of my clothes and her clothes-it is the coolest thing. My daughter loves to find it and snuggle under it.
I find it so hard to take photos of myself.LOL Love all your photos and the soup makes me want to try the one I saw at Target the other day. They have these microwavable Tai food that look pretty good. Great..now I'm hungry.LOL
That does look like one warm beautiful handmade quilt. Your Nana did an awesome job.
Now, what a totally awesome entry this is, I *so* enjoyed reading through it and having a look at the pics! I really love your self portrait - you have very beautiful eyes! And your cat is just so cute - I *so* know all about cats purring loudly and doing everything to demand attention, but getting pretty pissed off when they themselves are disturbed, LOL ;)
And that weekend that you spent in your jammies doing only things you enjoyed doing - well, can there be any better and more relaxing weekends? I highly doubt that! ;)
Love the cat and gotta say GOODNIGHT GORILLA! Amelia loves that book. BTW, she loves all the books you sent her.
My verification word is kddknee (kidney?)
Great photos - thanks for sharing!
