Brought to you by the Letter: R
Read
[reed] –verb (used with object) 1.to look at carefully so as to understand the meaning of (something written, printed, etc.): to read a book; to read music.
Since the earliest age I could be found with a book in hand. I was given the gift of being read to as an infant. Over the course of my childhood I learned the power of the written word to lift you out of your life, to show you what is possible, to teach you to dream and to share your dreams with others.
I work with children and I try to instill in them a love for books, for writing and reading. We read together and often and our classroom is filled with books of all kinds.
Some of my fondest memories include the presence of a book.
Record
[rek-erd] –verb (used with object) 1.to set down in writing or the like
Akin to reading, I have experienced great joy in writing. I have kept a journal - online and on paper - for many years. Some of the funniest to re-read are from Elementary school!
There is something so freeing in pouring words onto paper.
Drawing, sketching, painting and photography are the same for me. Any tangible, physical expression of an event or emotion captured for posterity.
Relative
(rěl'ə-tĭv) adj. 1. connected or related
My family is a huge part of my life. We are close - sometimes suffocatingly - we enjoy many of the same things. We love, we laugh, we cry and we grow together.
Included in my family are many dear, longtime friends - family means so much more to me than mere blood relations.

Like books, religion has always been a part of my life: my spiritual heritage. My beliefs are the hub of the wheel; they keep me moving when my inclination is to stop.
Remove
[ri-moov] –noun 14.a mental distance from the reality of something as a result of psychological detachment
I often find myself experiencing life as a spectator. A coping mechanism leftover from childhood that sometimes gets in the way. However, the capacity to remove myself also allows me to do my job and to provide for children in want without subjecting them to my emotional reaction to their need.
Repose
[ri-pohz] –noun 2.peace; tranquillity; calm.
I tend to require a lot of quiet time. Time spent reading, knitting, gardening, outdoors or with Kira provides me much needed rest and rejuvenation. Rescue
[res-kyoo] –verb (used with object) 1.to free or deliver
Rhyme
[rahym] –noun 4.a poem or piece of verse
Poetry moves me - whether I am writing or reading it, I find poetry to be an exhilarating experience.
Ridiculous
[ri-dik-yuh-luhs] –adjective Origin: 1540–50; LL rīdiculōsus: laughable, droll
I have a loud, unique laugh and it is heard frequently.
Rythm[rith-uhm] –noun 2.Music. a)the pattern of regular or irregular pulses caused in music by the occurrence of strong and weak melodic and harmonic beats.
3.measured movement, as in dancing.
Nothing delights me more than to dance. I could "dance and dance to my heart's intent" and still want to dance some more. I spend hours listening to music, from Mozart to NIN's. I also like to play music and wish I had time to study it more.

My family is fractured and not very close, but other than that, we are eerily similar.
