Again? Poetry Friday

it is at moments after i have dreamed it is at moments after i have dreamed
of the rare entertainment of your eyes,
when (being fool to fancy) i have deemed

with your peculiar mouth my heart made wise;
at moments when the glassy darkness holds

the genuine apparition of your smile
(it was through tears always)and silence moulds
such strangeness as was mine a little while;

moments when my once more illustrious arms
are filled with fascination, when my breast
wears the intolerant brightness of your charms:

one pierced moment whiter than the rest

-turning from the tremendous lie of sleep
i watch the roses of the day grow deep.

Hey, Miss S!
I've enjoyed reading your blog today. I can certainly see why we were paired. We are like long lost sisters! We even look somewhat alike. I'll send you a pic and you'll see. We both work with children, like the same poetry, etc. Get this: my mother had a Dutch kitsch kitchen!

Please send me your email addy!!

E.E. Cummings is amazing - thanks for sharing this beautiful poem! I have a couple of collected poems and quotes of Cummings here, and these words always hit the point so totally - they never fail to make me feel better!

Thank you for sharing this poetry. Bet it's still snowing up there. We got just a little bit yesterday, not much at all.

Scarlett,

My Darling. Thanks for commenting on the rag covers for the chairs. I have been uninspired to work on them so it's good to hear feedback. The fabric is a combination of ripped up tee-shirts and scarves, etc. Instead of good willing stained items, I ripped them up and knitted them.
