A Total Pro
Look at Debbie go! One 15 minute knitting lesson in the backseat of a car while traveling HWY 99. Come on!
'Armed with will and determination
and grace, too.'
1 Cotillion Sock down - 1 to go.
ETA: Uh-oh. I didn't mean to mislead anyone - my Mom actually gave Debbie the knitting lesson while we were heading to the ferry. Sorry about that. She is still a remarkable knitter, is she not?

A testament to your wonderful teaching, of course...
Hey, I just noticed that two of my all-time favourite books - Gone with the Wind and Little Women - are listed as yours - I think I knew that already but it just reaffirms it all, doesn't it?
And what sock do you need to take out? Recent pic, please...
w00t!
Wow, that's amazing! Yay for recruiting a new knitter! ;)
Looks like she was born to knit!! That's wonderful you taught her how to knit...she will take this skill with her from here on out. The love of knitting...ahhhh:)
POO! Blogger is being hateful!
What I TRIED to say was....
Look at her knitting!! I'd love to teach someone to knit who has an attention span for it longer than 15 minutes (meaning, NOT my two eldest daughters!)
I'm so glad to get caught up on your blog!! Bloglines had you put down for 93 unread posts, which I knew was a complete and utter LIE but still.... that's a hard click to take. But I'm there now - the knits, the weather, the pooch, the poetry... great read as always. :)
Deirdre I promise I will get to the sock post soon - time seems to be slipping past quickly this week.
Debbie is loving knitting - I ordered her some knitting treats that I can't wait to share with her. She lives in Victoria, home of myriad knitters, so she is in good company for access to teachers and fab knitting stores with classes. She is more than capable.
Laura - thanks! I wish you had a blog so I could reciprocate. Blogger - where do they get those stats??
Excellent job on the knitting! It took me quite a while before I tried two colour knitting.
GO DEBBIE GO! ANOTHER KNITTER IS BORN!
