Meanwhile...
I've been sick and we had this:
Kira loves the snow almost as much as I do!
It has actually stayed cold here this week so the snow has stayed. Of course I have been sick all week so I haven't been outside myself but Kira enjoyed it. I have felt a pressing need to watch homey, snowy, family movies. So I am sending my Mom out to pick up The Family Stone. I love that movie. My brother is planning to bring it for me when he comes over on the 21st but that is so far away...
These are some of the goodies that have come in the mail this week. (The post does seem to be taking extraordinarily long which makes me think people are getting a jump on sending their X-Mas packages out.) You can see some lovely handpainted sock yarn in
Hedwig, from
Sunshine Yarns.(check out Cup o Joe!!) I also have my first ever
Lorna's Laces in Baby Stripe AND my
Foxtrot!! with matching stitch markers from
Sheby B's Designs and my 2nd pair of sock needles from
Supercrafty and a little gift of knitting pins. The one that says: Ask me about my stash - totally made me laugh. I have to think of a way to use them in public. Might mean I will have to treat myself to one of those fancy corduroy Namaste knitting bags I like so much.
To be continued...

Ahhh, sorry to hear you are sick. I think you got your little gifties just in time:) That is, if you are up to knitting. I love these yarns you just got. The Lorna's Laces are in such a beautiful relaxing color.
Here's some big Hugs to help you feel better!
Sorry you're "under the weather"! (Get it.... under the weather... snow... tee hee!)
Glad you have some yarny goodness to cheer you up! :0)
Kira is so cute, most dogs seem to like the snow. I'm so jealous, we had a nice snowfall over might but it was melted within a few hours. The yarn is simply gorgeous, I love it, I love it!
That's night, not might...
Wow, you sure have a lot of snow over there already - and little Kira is *so* cute playing in it! Our skiing area-people are getting pretty nervous here by now, there's not an inch of snow and nothing to be seen - guess they're already counting their money and their defincits, LOL ;) But seeing your pics, I'd say it's high time to get a bit of snow over here as well - this time of year just has to have snow, don't you think?
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been sick - I hope you're feeling a lot better by now?! But seeing these goodies that your mailman brought, I think you just have to feel better by now! Such great yarn - looking forward to seeing what you're going to make with it!
Sorry you're sick :o( I hope you're feeling better!
That's some nice stuff you got there!
Sorry you're not feeling so great - though I'm feeling fine and STILL want to watch snowy cuddly movies. Well, except that Pirates II came out yesterday so I've been watching that :) No snow here in Toronto YET but that's okay as Miss Smartie hates it (not a normal dog) I'm hoping we get some soon...
Beautiful yarn - don't you just LOVE that kind of mail?!
Hope you get well soon (the yarn should help)! That LLs is gorgeous - I'll be interested to see if it really does stripe.
I came here via Dipsy D and have added you to my bloglist. x
