The Improvement

diaphanous disaffection for this room,"

Here are some in progress pics.
Tomorrow's post will have pics of the room now.
No knitting content to be had. Way to busy learning new carpentry skills and straining my back moving furniture a zillion times.

Incidentally laying this floor was a lot of fun. Namely because Mandy and I have wild times together, but I do love trying my hand at things. I am always surprised at how refreshing it is to learn something new - such as laying down a hardwood floor. Incredibly noisy though. Our cats were nowhere to be seen for nearly 3 days!

Hey girl! The floor color you choose is so beautiful. My question is what to do when I have to come up to the base of our kitchen cabinet. The part that we can't take off. I have yet to find a photo that shows a floor molding trim instead they always look like it goes under the base but really doesn't. Does that make any sense? Of course not.LOL Still trying to figure that part out. I kinda have an idea about underneath the stove & refig area...maybe. Thank you so much for letting me know when you put these photos up. You're the best!
Oh, look at that floor - bee-yoo-tee-full! And yes, there is huge satisfaction in learning new things, especially homeownery kind of things - way to go!!
You have inspired me to try something like that in my knitting area, after, of course, I fix the leak in the ceiling, which was discovered this morning in the midst of an unusually huge thunderstorm...
Nice job! I doubt I could lay hardwood and I am so impressed with those who have such home improvement skills...of course it does cut into the knitting time! Although maybe after you can lay on your gorgeous floor and knit!
The floor is completely lovely! I love learning home reno stuff, too. The first time I put up shelving on my own, I made everyone who came to the house the next few weeks go look at it! :0)
I love that floor! I'm majorly jealous over here - my linoleum dates to the 70's...very craptastic ;o)
