Changes

Things seem to be happening at an accelarated (sp?) rate this last little while.

Maybe not for my poor cousin who is beginning her 4th day of contractions - sounds medieval to me, but I am uninitiated as of yet.
And certainly not for Socky - pictured above - who really is crawling along. Though I am glad to see the pattern is working out even though I am not using 2 different yarns. I am kinda liking this sock.

But my other cousins wedding is in less than 3 weeks. That time is slipping away like, well, time. I cannot believe it - that is her at her personal shower last weekend - a total blast, and boy did she get some gorgeous gifts.
It's becoming one of those events that you remember planning so far in advance that it seemed improbable (ok, that may not be the best word choice given that I am speaking about a marriage - but you know what I mean) and then is suddenly something you are looking at in photos. Sigh.

In preparation for the wedding I had a good 2 "'s trimmed from my hair. My hairdresser straightened it for me and I tried to get a pic before the curl came back, but as you can see I resist change from the roots out! Waves were already shaping by the time I got home so that is definitely NOT an option for the wedding as far as hairstyles go. I can only imagine the mess I would have on my hands (head) after 10 minutes on the dancefloor! And there is no way I would forgo the chance to shake it!

Kira is there just because I couldn't resist snapping her curled up beside Socky. Damn she's cute and she knows it!
