Yarn to Dye for

Ooh - I have had so much fun tonight!
Survivor AND my KnitPicks wool came so I got to try hand dyeing.
So much fun.
Doncha like seeing it resting on the rustic bench? It just sort of belongs.

I decided not to dye both - I was worried it might go very badly and it sounded so messy when I was reading up about it online.

The reality was quick and easy - oh, right. Except for that first attempt at seperating the skein. Yeah that went very, very badly (going to have to get my Mom to unravel that disaster).

But seriously the whole process probably took 40 minutes from potion to hanging to dry. I can't wait to wind it in a ball and get to work with it.
Still don't have a pattern for socks though...time to start surfing blogs!

Ooh the next one is going to be orange and green - yummy.

Nice yarn! What are you going to make - can't wait to see how it knits up. Keep us posted.
